1.My interest in non-profit organizations come from my family. Right from when I used to be a kid, I used to see my parents, grandparents actively taking part in community building activities, engaging in social service, helping the less privileged. There are innumerable events to which I accompanied them and from there the passion of contributing to the society in a positive manner arose. Even in school I always took part in activity where we had to engage in community serving activities. In college too I have volunteered to work with many non-profit organizations. They might be small in size but have made meaningful impact in certain areas. Initially my focus had been on the homeless population, their rehabilitation and education and in the long helping them find a livelihood. Later for some years I worked with an organization who catered women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
